Bandages and Garment Fund

In 2004, the LLN created the Bandages and Garments Fund because some insurance companies do not cover the gradient compression garments required for long-term maintenance of lymphedema. The Bandages and Garment Fund was established to assist patients in the State of Georgia only who have no health insurance coverage in obtaining the necessary bandages and garments for the treatment and maintenance of their lymphedema. Patients currently undergoing lymphedema therapy from a certified lymphedema therapist may apply to the Bandages and Garment Fund with a recommendation from their therapist. To date, the Bandages and Garment Fund has assisted over 150 individuals to be fitted with the necessary garments.
