GWEN FORBES-KIRBY FOUNDATION FUND
The Lighthouse Lymphedema Network is excited to announce the Gwen Forbes-Kirby Foundation Fund honoring Gwen for her years of service to the LLN and her dedication to her patients. The fund was started by an anonymous donation, as a tribute to Gwen. 100% of the donations will benefit patients who live in Georgia even if they are treated in another state.
General Fund
Donations to the General Fund will support patient meetings and events, conferences, quarterly newsletters and other events and activities of the LLN. The LLN has no paid staff, so 100% of your donation will be used to further the mission and goals of the LLN. Please consider adding us to your list of charitable organizations worthy of your donation. We cannot thank you enough for your donation.
BANDAGES AND GARMENT FUND
In 2004, the LLN created the Bandages and Garments Fund because some insurance companies do not cover the gradient compression garments required for long-term maintenance of lymphedema. The Bandages and Garment Fund was established to assist patients in the State of Georgia only who have no health insurance coverage in obtaining the necessary bandages and garments for the treatment and maintenance of their lymphedema. Patients currently undergoing lymphedema therapy from a certified lymphedema therapist may apply to the Bandages and Garment Fund with a recommendation from their therapist. To date, the Bandages and Garment Fund has assisted over 150 individuals to be fitted with the necessary garments.
