The Southern Loss Association is a network of insurance professionals that train and support each other. They also have a history of helping charities, especially the Lighthouse Lymphedema Network. Since 2012, they have given our network more than $50,000 to support education conferences and patient compression therapy.
The Lighthouse Lymphedema Network was the charity supported by April’s SLA Larry Hart Memorial Golf and Cornhole Tournament. The LLN was always near and dear to the late Larry Hart’s heart, and as such the SLA chooses the LLN as their Charity of Choice for the Spring Golf Outing. The late Larry Hart was partners with Joan’s husband, Doug White, in their insurance adjusting business, White-Hart & Associates. Larry was a dear friend to Doug & Joan and always supported the LLN until his passing. Larry and Doug were both former Board Members on the Southern Loss Board of directors.
Board members Doug and Joan White, Francine Schwartz Schuler, Sharon Shepard, and Beverly Thompson (pictured with Susan Freeman of SLA) were grateful, and sincerely appreciative, to receive a check for $5000 at the event.
The SLA donation was matched, and later exceeded, by generous supporter, Orlando Ojeda, founder & CEO of Full Circle Restoration in Duluth, GA. Full Circle Restoration is a 24-hour disaster response company. They have experts in fire, storm and water damage, and certified mold/fungus remediation. They serve commercial property managers, the insurance industry & property owners with repairs, restoration, and reconstruction. Joan White said, "We sincerely thank Orlando Ojeda, Founder/CEO of Full Circle Restoration, for his generous $10,000.00 donation.”
